John Boehner, former House Speaker, fired word-ly shots at Ted Cruz, the GOP hopeful, during a talk at Stanford University.

“Lucifer in the flesh,” Boehner said of the Texas senator. “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

Boehner has always been publicly against Cruz. He said that he would never vote for the junior senator if he became a nominee but he would vote for Donald Trump. He said that Trump and he were “texting buddies.”

Cruz responded to the scathing comments through Twitter. “Tell me again who will stand up to Washington? Trump, who’s Boehner’s ‘texting and golfing buddy,’ or Carly [Fiorina] & me?”

His fellow republicans are really not fond of Cruz either. Boehner, especially, has called him “jackass” and a “false prophet” previously.

During his speech at Stanford, Boehner also took a shot at Hillary Clinton. “Oh I’m a woman, vote for me,” he said.

Though he said he thinks of her as smart and accomplished, he added: “Don’t be shocked … if two weeks before the [Democratic] convention, here comes Joe Biden parachuting in and Barack Obama fanning the flames to make it all happen.”
