Katy Perry wants to apologize.

“I have coffee breath,” the singer says, cozy on her couch. “Sorry if it bothers you!”

Apparently, these days she needs the caffeine. Perry is busy with her Prismatic tour right now, which will continue until March next year. She is all set to travel across Europe and to Australia as well.

“It’s taking all my energy,” she says of her worldwide tour but there is no denying that hard work is reaping rewards.

Prism, her fourth album, is a success. Her lead single “Roar” has gone platinum not just once or twice but six times.

“A lot of times I write these songs because I need to reinspire myself,” says Perry.

“When I was writing ‘Roar,’ I was like, ‘I need to find my voice again. I need to be heard. I need to find that empowering thunder in my chest again.'”

Perry ended her on again off again relationship with John Mayer in Feb and has been single since then. She is now confident and enters her 30s with a smile.

“I still feel 13 on the inside,” she says of hitting the milestone in October.

“Birthdays are a big thing for me. We always have a themed party. It’s a good excuse for me to bring my friends together and go buck wild.”

However, she is not planning on going crazy!

“I just want to be able to continue to stay self-aware and as unaffected as possible,” Perry says. “I just want to stay authentic and keep dreaming my dreams.”
