Stress has been proven to negatively impact every aspect of your life including your heart health. Stress can lead you to get careless about yourself, indulge in bad habits, and wreck your well-being. All this impacts your heart rather harshly.

The Broken Heart Syndrome

Did you know that there is actually a heart condition known as the Broken Heart Syndrome? The symptoms of this syndrome are similar to that of a heart attack. These include general weakness, irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath, chest pain, and so on. This syndrome is mainly caused due to too much stress and is rampant in women.

Monday Blues

A study revealed that most heart attacks occur on Mondays. The reason behind this is apparently that people experience high levels of stress on Mondays after a relaxed weekend. This also is conclusive proof that stress and heart problems are related significantly.


The only way to ensure heart health is to reduce stress. You don’t have to work too hard. Just simple techniques such as laughing, listening to music, taking a nap, reading a book, or indulging in something you like will help you relax. Meditation is also a good idea.

Remember that your heart beats for you. Don’t take it for granted. The moment the beat ceases will be the moment you cease to exist.
