If you love red wine as much as we do, you should know a trick or two about clearing up wine spills. Your favourite vino can leave a prominent stain, and before it sets in, you will have to act.

Here’s what you can do to clear the stain like nothing happened:

  • To erase wine from your clothes, blot the stain (DO NOT rub) with a clean damp cloth lift as much wine as you can. Using a cotton ball dipped in white vinegar, soak the stain and prewash and wash as usual. This will likely remove the stain entirely.
  • To remove red vino stain from your favourite fabric upholstery, use a dry paper towel to blot the stain and soak up the excess wine. Combine hydrogen peroxide and dish soap and apply the solution directly on the stain. Blot with a clean dry cloth and you will be pleasantly surprised.
  • To clear wine stain from tile and grout, wipe the stain with soapy water (dish soap + warm water) using a sponge. Next, combine baking soda and liquid bleach and apply the paste to the stain. Let it sit for 3 minutes and then scrub away the stain using a toothbrush and warm water.
  • To get rid of the stain from your precious carpet, pour a bit of white wine on the stain to neutralize the red. Next, blot excess wine with a dry paper towel. Use a carpet shampoo and clean according to directions. Done!

There you go! Sip on your favourite wine without a worry. You have enough tricks up your sleeve.
